We tend to laugh at soccer as a sport. It has become an acting contest for who can fall down with the most flair. It seems like the instant a player realizes a defender is approaching them they hit they grass and grab their knee. Unfortunately, in recent years the NBA has been leaning in this direction as well.
But not everyone should be blamed for the current sissyfest that is the most popular sport in the world. There are some standouts who are true competitors and play through the nonsense. Lionel Messi, who many would agree is the best player in the game right now, seems to be on the better end of this.
