This gigantic graphic from the National Post breaks down the populations of all main religions by their origins and general beliefs.

We can see that the largest parent theology is Abrahamic, followed by over 3 billion people. Both Christianity and Islam developed from this branch, so it is somewhat comical that of all the groups, these two seem to paint each other as terrorists who are religious radicals the most often. The history behind the religions can be so similar, and yet the other guy’s beliefs are outrageous and intolerable.
