The Census Bureau provides in its Durables Goods report that manufacturers’ new orders were in July were $230.7 billion, up 4.2% from June and up 7.5% from a year ago.
This increase was largely due to an increase in aircraft orders, new orders excluding transportation was actually a decline of 0.4% this month.
