Pointed out by CalibratedConfidence, we find yet another instance of CNBC broadcasters acting like freaking idiots. This is from September of 2009, in which Trish Regan and Larry Kudlow are lucky enough to have Paul Wilmott on the program. But rather than give him more time to speak about his expertise, quantitative finance, they repeatedly ask him for quick buy tips.
Wilmott tries to answer their questions in stride, and even states that options can be utilized to bet on volatility movements, but the CNBC folks really needed their ticker recommendations.
