It was reported this morning that former Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty will be leaving his position as co-chairman of the Romney campaign to become the new CEO of the Financial Services Roundtable.

The FSR represents the bankers.

The FSR “represents 100 of the largest integrated financial services companies which provide banking, insurance and investment products and services to American consumers.” The members of FSR are the CEOs of the 100 largest financial services companies and six additional members representing each company.

Pawlenty will be a major lobbyist for Wall Street, and the FSR insists he is the perfect candidate for the job.

Oh how times change. Pawlenty had somewhat conflicting thoughts about Wall Street on June 3, 2011.
