We can see that as the weight goes up, the likelihood of a knockout or stoppage increases, and the chance the fight will end in a submission decreases. This is relatively predictable, as the larger fighters tend to be much worse grapplers and much better strikers.
Interestingly, as weight goes up fights are less likely overall to reach a decision. This is to say that, on average, the heavier fighters will be much more entertaining to watch. The climax of a fight after all isn’t the decision, it’s the knockout or submission.
