The Dallas Fed manufacturing survey saw slight improvements in September, with its general business activity index edging up to -0.9 from -1.6 in August. This reading is still indicative of contraction, but is marginally improved.
The Dallas Fed states that the majority of its indicators have risen, but the broader figure is being dragged down by struggles in employment, which remained positive, but at a far decreased rate.
