The preliminary reading for October consumer sentiment shot up to 83.1 this morning, well above the 78.3 figure from September, and the highest the index has been since September of 2007.
This index has been shown to be very volatile, as we experienced a heavy unexpected dip in July – November of last year, but this month’s reading is very impressive nonetheless.
