As we enter the final days prior to the election, the campaigning seems to have almost stopped, if only for a second.

Hurricane Sandy has wiped out the Northeast, leaving Obama to cancel campaign events and work full-time on disaster relief efforts. Romney has delayed his campaigning as well, but neither of these gentlemen seems shy about getting their picture taken doing something charitable.

With the election just 5 days away, Obama currently has 67.0% odds to win on Intrade. His odds were last this high way back on October 6th, as Romney has had several surges during the month.

Sandy killed any momentum Romney may have had, and may have been a blessing in disguise for the Obama campaign. The incumbent was able to take a break from campaign rallies, and in doing so even earned praise from New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, a man who was one of theĀ front-runners to be Romney’s VP selection.
