In what is for some reason being hailed as a controversial situation, a gas station clerk shot a young man in Houston after the patron attacked him.
21-year-old Alexander Calloway and his two cousins attempted to enter the gas station around 3:30am, but the doors were understandably locked. Somehow, they got into an argument with the Valero clerk, who unwisely unlocked the door to confront them.
It looks like after some words were exchanged, Calloway punched the clerk in the face. The clerk retaliated by shooting him in the stomach. Calloway’s cousins rushed him to a local fire station where he was taken by ambulance to the hospital.
Following outrage in the community, the store owner has released the below footage which clearly shows Calloway attacking the clerk before the clerk defends himself.
There are two sides to every story, but from here this looks like obvious self defense.
