The Census Bureau reports that manufacturers’ sales shipments in October were estimated at $1,257.7 billion, down 0.4% from September and up 3.1% from October 2011.
Manufacturers’ inventories were estimated at an end-of-month level of $1,619.2 billion, up 0.4% from September and up 5.7% from a year ago.
This lead the business inventories to sales ratio to tick up to 1.29 from 1.28 the month prior.
