CPI Falls For First Time In 6 Months

The Bureau of Labor Statistics reports that the consumer price index fell 0.3% in November, the first decline since May. This follows a 0.1% increase in October and a 0.6% increase in September. CPI is up 1.8% from a year ago.

The core CPI, which excludes food and energy, increased 0.1% in November, and follows a 0.2% increase in October. Food increased 0.2% in November while energy decreased 4.1%.
