The Dallas Fed reports that the general business activity index of its Dallas Fed manufacturing survey improved to 6.8 in December, compared to a -2.8 print in November. This reading brings the index back into economic expansion and is a sharp turn for the positive.
Of those businesses surveyed, 10.6% reported that business conditions had worsened, 17.4% reported that conditions had improved, and 72.0% reported no change.
