Store sales data was mixed this week, but remains fairly pessimistic.
The ICSC-Goldman store sales index improved drastically from +2.0% year over year gains to +2.6% Y/Y. The report notes that the cold weather last week did not affect shoppers, but has still been trending downwards.
The Redbook store sales index declined to +1.5% year over year compared to +1.6% Y/Y the week prior. This index has also been trending downwards.
