Housing Starts Strong In March Increasing To SAAR Of 1.036 million

The U.S. Census Bureau reports that housing starts in March were at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 1.036 million. This is solid increase from February’s SAAR of 968k, which was revised significantly upwards. This is the highest rate of housing starts since June of 2008, and is quite a strong report.

Single-family housing starts in March were at a SAAR of 619k, down from the upward revised 650k of February.
