Store Sales Soften With Little Explanation

Store sales in the U.S. slumped this week and there is little explanation as to why. Both weekly indicators saw declines this week, but neither report gives much thought to or reason for the weakening sales.

The ICSC-Goldman store sales index declined to +2.4% year over year gains compared to +2.6% Y/Y last week.

The Redbook store sales index decreased to +2.3% year over year gains from +2.8% Y/Y last week.
