The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reports that the consumer price for all urban consumer decreased -0.4% in April on a seasonally adjusted basis. April’s decrease follows a -0.2% change in March.
The core CPI, which excludes food and energy, was +0.1% in April, the same as last month.
The unadjusted 12 month change in the CPI is +1.1%.
