U.S. Retail Sales Increase 0.6% In May

The U.S. Census Bureau announced today that advance estimates of U.S. retail and food services sales for May, adjusted for seasonal variation and holiday and trading-day differences, but not for price changes, were $421.1 billion. This is a 0.6% increase from April’s revised retail sales reading of $418.8 billion, and leaves retails up 4.3% from a year ago.
