Student Loans Remain The Most Delinquent

The New York Fed has released its Quarterly Report on Household Debt and Credit for the second quarter of 2013. What’s visible is that there continues to be a reduction in loans that have been delinquent for longer time periods as a share of the total delinquent loans.

Of those loans that are more than 90 days delinquent, for the fourth quarter in a row they were more comprised of student loans than any other household debt. This is to be expected, partially from the increases in nonrevolving credit while revolving credit has remained stagnant in recent years.
